Redefining the "Bounce Back"

Updated: Sep 5, 2021

Can we get rid of this concept of "getting your body back" after baby?

Because when you think about it, it took your body 9 whole months to grow this baby.

Your skin stretched a lot.

And your organs shifted.

Not to mention the trauma your body went through for birth - whether you had a vaginal or c-section delivery.

Not only are you sent home to heal from this trauma and take care of tiny, helpless newborns with virtually no sleep...

But then you are expected to look like it never happened!

This incredibly unrealistic expectation that is set for new moms not only causes a lot of unnecessary stress, but it also makes them feel like they are failing.

So instead of "losing the baby weight" -

Let's normalize helping moms recover from birth.

Strengthen their bodies to eliminate pain, and to help them lift and play with their babies.

And empower them to feel badass.

Because they just did something incredible.

Not only did they bring a whole new person into this world....

But they are a new person too.

And that's something to celebrate.
