I talk a lot on my Instagram page about intuitive exercise, but what exactly does that mean? 👇🏽
Intuitive, by definition, means “using or based on what one feels to be true when without conscious reasoning; instinctive”
Intuitive exercise is simply tuning into the feedback your body is giving you when it comes to choosing movement.
You can do this by checking in with your energy levels, how your body feels (sore, tight, etc), or based on your emotional needs (stressed, anxious, etc)
After years of following strict workout schedules and routines, I adopted this intuitive way of exercising after my miscarriage in 2019. I felt a lot of disconnect from my body, and wanted to learn how to reconnect to my body as a way of healing and move forward. It has since been something I have adopted into my daily routine, and something that has
served me well throughout my pregnancy and postpartum journey!
