I feel like one of the biggest questions all new mamas-to-be have is : “what do I ACTUALLY need in my hospital bag?!”
If you’re a horrible packer normally like me, this is super stressful! How do you pack for something you’ve never done before and in a place you’ve never stayed?!
I have poured over all the blog posts, instagram posts, baby apps, and even my hospital’s website and this is what I have settled on for my hospital bag! I don't want to go too crazy, but also want to make sure I have what I need to feel comfortable.
Copy of birth plan
Little manual massager
Lavender, Stress Away, and Deep Relief essential roll-ons (I use Young Living)
Chapstick and hair ties
Toiletries (travel shampoo + conditioner, hair gel, deodorant, face wash, moisturizer, body wash, lotion)
Minimal makeup for pictures (light foundation, concealer, eyebrow powder and mascara)
Nursing bras (3)
Button-down PJ sets (2) - I got these specifically from Target and they are SO SOFT
Regular high rise underwear
Eye mask for sleeping
Going home outfit (loose, comfy clothing)
6ft phone charger
Kindle and charger
Snacks!!! (protein bars, dried mango, crackers, almond bitter, applesauce, cashews, lollipops, sweedish fish)
Coming home outfit (+ hat)
Custom gown for photos
I hope you find this helpful if you are also trying to pack your hospital bag! Let me know if you have anything to add in the comments below!
